Online occupational therapy for Indian families living abroad

Living in Dubai, London, New Jersey, Toronto, Sydney or Singapore, and worried about your child's reading, focus, handwriting or behaviour? Our online home programs give you guidance from an Indian occupational therapist with 15+ years of experience, in the language your family speaks at home, without waiting lists or travel.

Why families abroad choose Divya Place

  • Someone who understands your family. Dr. Megha works in English, Hindi and Marathi, and understands Indian family life: joint families, grandparents helping with homework, children growing up with two or three languages.
  • No referral needed. In many countries, waiting lists for children's occupational therapy can be long. With us, you don't need a referral or a diagnosis to get started: just send a WhatsApp message.
  • Practical, home-based support. You get simple activities and routines you can use every day, so progress doesn't depend on one session a week.
  • Works alongside local support. If your child already has help at school, such as an IEP in the USA or an EHCP in the UK, or sees a local therapist, our home program can work alongside it.
  • Clinic visits when you are in India. Visiting family in India? You can book an in-person assessment at our Nagpur clinic during your trip and continue online when you return.

What we can help with online

Hands-on sensory integration therapy works best in person. If your child needs it, we will tell you honestly and help you think about options, including a clinic visit when you are in India.

How it works

  1. Message Dr. Megha on WhatsApp. Tell us your child's age, the country you live in and your main concern. No long forms.
  2. A short chat about your child. We understand what is hard at home and at school, and what you have already tried.
  3. Your personalised home program. Simple weekly activities, explained clearly, that fit into your family's routine.
  4. Regular check-ins on WhatsApp. Share photos, short videos or writing samples. We review progress and adjust the plan.

Time zones

Most guidance happens through WhatsApp messages, voice notes and short videos, so you don't need to be online at the same time as us. When a live conversation helps, we agree on a time that suits your time zone, whether you are in the Gulf, Europe, North America, Australia or South-East Asia.

Payment

Fees and payment details are shared with you on WhatsApp before you begin, and payment is made online.

Start with an online screening

If you are not sure where to begin, our self-screening tests can be filled in from anywhere in the world. Each costs ₹350 and your report is emailed to you.

Our YouTube channel also has free videos for parents.

Frequently asked questions

Can occupational therapy really be done online from another country?

For many goals, yes. Focus, homework routines, handwriting, planning and daily living skills can all be built at home when parents get clear, regular guidance. Hands-on sensory integration therapy is better done in person.

We live abroad. How do time zones work?

Most guidance happens on WhatsApp, through messages, voice notes and short videos, so you do not have to be online at the same time as us. When a live conversation helps, we agree on a time that suits you.

Which languages do you work in?

English, Hindi and Marathi. Many children abroad speak one language at school and another at home, and that is fine. We work in whatever is most comfortable for your family.

My child already has support at school abroad. Can we still work with you?

Yes. Our home program can work alongside school support plans such as an IEP or EHCP, and alongside a local therapist. We focus on what you can do together at home.

Can we have an assessment when we visit India?

Yes. Message us before your trip and we will plan an in-person assessment at our Nagpur clinic, then continue with online support after you return home.

How do I start?

Send a WhatsApp message to Dr. Megha on +91 88885 96457 or email divyaplace.help@gmail.com with your child's age, your country and your main concern.
